Back in July 2010, I shot my first NYC wedding for Matt and Di on a Rockefeller Center rooftop. When Matt later asked if I'd shoot a proposal for a friend of his, I said yes on the spot — by the transitive property of awesomeness, any friend of Matt's had to be great. Minutes before Jaren was set to propose to Mary Beth on a Central Park bridge, a tour bus unloaded a crowd right onto the spot, including one woman doing pre-run stretches exactly where they needed to stand. Thankfully the crowd cleared just before Jaren and Mary Beth arrived, leaving only me and Jaren's friend Terry on the bridge to witness it. Moments later, Mary Beth said yes, and Jaren had nothing left to do but stand up and hold onto his new fiancée.
