About

I am a New York City-based wedding and portrait photographer. I was introduced to photography in 1996, and started by shooting primarily nature and landscapes. Over time, my interest in photography expanded to photojournalism and sports, and then weddings and portraits. I’m a self-taught shooter, and admittedly a camera geek. I’ll purchase new cameras just to learn how to use them, or to take one particular photo with one special camera. Photography is truly my passion.

I could give you a boring “artist’s statement” or bio where I blather on about my style, approach, motivation and all those other industry buzz-words. But really, who cares? If you like my work, and you like my personality, then what label you put on my style – and how I describe it – is meaningless. What it boils down to is this: I love photography; it really is the best job I can imagine having. I’ve been doing this now for 15 years, and I can’t imagine not being a photographer.

Aside from photography, I also enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, golf, and brewing my own beer. I have a soft spot for animals, especially my two troublemakers: Snuffy (18 pounds of pure Pug terror) and Memphis (an SPCA rescue whose happy-go-lucky attitude defies his Chow-Chow-ness).
