For several years now, I've donated a portrait session to CRUX, an LGBT Rock Climbing group in New York City, to auction off. Sean won the auction, and used his session as his and Dan's engagement session. For the days leading up to their session, we knew rain was a possibility. Fortunately for us (or so we thought) the day of their session the weather forecast changed, and we were to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Of course, the weather didn't get that memo, and moments after we arrived on location, the bottom fell out. Sean and Dan were true sports about it, and worked with my crazy ideas to incorporate the rain in their photos as we walked from one covered space to the next. In the end, I think the rain made the photos that much better, and gave Sean and Dan something to remember when they look back on their engagement portraits.
