From my first conversations with Jane and Dennis, I knew Jane was the outspoken one, and Dennis was the quiet one in the relationship. We met on a video call, and Jane took the lead, as I would come to expect from them.
As the date for their wedding at the Links at Union Vale in Lagrangeville , NY approached, Jane reached out to make sure I had everything I needed. Having only had a call with them, and never seeing either one of them, I was excited to finally meet both Jane and Dennis.
On walking into the venue, Dennis jumped up from his seat, and greeting me warmly and enthusiastically: “Hey Mike! I’m Dennis, the groom, so happy to meet you!” and I realized then that while Dennis might be quiet, he’s got a zeal for life and was pumped for their wedding.
As the day went on, their guests came to meet both Jane and Dennis, and I saw a large group of friends and family happy to see two people they cared very much for commitig to each other. From Dennis’s smiles and Jane’s laughter, it was clear the feeling was mutual.
A theme from the toasts was that Jane was the one who was able to get Dennis to dance. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but both Jane AND Dennis were on the floor with their guests, dancing to song after song, well into the night.
