When I arrived for Danielle & Joe's wedding in Wappingers Falls, NY, I posted to my Instagram story: "If you need it to rain this year, hire me to shoot your wedding!" I'm batting 1000 for rainy weddings -- and the Hudson Valley needs the rain this year. Like countless couples stressed about a wedding before them, Danielle and Joe took the rain in stride and let the rain wash their worries away (pardon me) like water off a duck's back.
Another group that was ready to rock was Sabrina's team at Hidden Rose Catering. With spring time being wedding and bridal shower season, Hidden Rose was expecting guests to arrive beginning 30 minutes after Danielle & Joe's ceremony was to take place. In the 30 minutes before Danielle arrived, the staff and guests rearranged the venue entirely and set it up for a wedding. Anyone who arrived after the rearrangement never knew the room wasn't set up for a wedding that morning. As soon as we wrapped a few group photos, everything was put back into place as it was beforehand, ready for the bridal shower guests to show.
I've said it so many times, but I love my clients. I've been lucky, and have yet to have a bridezilla, or really even come close. I've shot during torrential downpours, hurricanes, heat waves, and single digit temperatures and have yet to see a client lose it. I should also add that while the clients get all of the attention, the venues that host them and make sure things work out in the end deserve my praise too.
