Several days after I delivered the first round of photos from Olivia’s Baptism to her mom, I got a phone call. Evangeline was over the moon excited with the results (meaning I was too). It turned out my first shot at shooting a baptism ceremony was a success. In fact, Evangeline confessed to me: “I feel bad about this, but I’m jealous of her photos! They’re even better than my wedding photos were, and I’ve only seen 20 of the photos you took!” I’ll consider that a successful shoot any day!
Olivia's mother Evangeline called me while she was searching for a photographer to shoot Olivia's baptism. Having shot more weddings than I can count without referring to records, I wasn't prepared in the least for this event. Thankfully for me, it was a good brand of unpreparedness -- I was given nearly unfettered access to the entire sanctuary, with only vague guidelines of what to avoid. Being this close to the action was like getting a sideline pass for a pro football game, to me at least!
In just the few hours I was able to spend with Olivia, her parents Evangeline and Neal, and the rest of their friends and family, I have no doubt that Olivia is going to grow up surrounded by loving and caring family & friends!
