I've told countless brides the same thing in the course of a wedding day: "No matter what, at the end of the day, you'll be married!" Similar advice could have been given to me as I sat helpless on a stalled train unable to get to the location where Jonathan would propose to Donna in just a few moments. As soon as the train opened I ran aboveground to get a cab and head off to Hell's Kitchen.
Jonathan was quick to make an adjustment to his plans, and I made it to the location with about 10 minutes to spare. Despite being late, shooting in the darkest venue I've ever worked (including an open-air rooftop in midtown Manhattan), and getting iPhone blocked by another patron, at the end of the night, Donna said yes, and that's all that mattered. Oh, and we also got some pretty good photos too!
