Polaroid has seen the light
If you grew up in the South (hi!) or have watched any decent televangelist do his thing, you know how to say, "Polaroid has seeeen the light-uh!" and say it right. The news from The Impossible Project and PolaPremium yesterday can only be explained as a divine intervention in the mortal world.
Yesterday, the news broke: Polaroid & The Impossible Project teamed up to create Polaroid film (re-branded film from The Impossible Project) and new instant cameras from Polaroid. Anyone who was around to see my reaction probably thought I was doing my impersonation of a T-Rex trying to scratch its chest. Finally, there's hope - true, real, confirmed hope - that we'll be able to participate in instant photography again.
For me this means I can start playing with instant film unabashed, unencumbered by the fear of running out of film and never getting to use it again. The weight of hoarding film has been lifted from my back.
